Fire Hydrant Use Permits

Permission to withdraw water from a fire hydrant owned by Platte Canyon Water and Sanitation District requires a fire hydrant use permit issued by the District and the Denver Water Department.

Hydrant Permit Procedures

• Locate hydrant in which you would like a permit.
• Call the District to request a pre-inspection for hydrant use at least 24 hours prior to when hydrant is needed. Have duration of usage needed. (1 month up to 1 year)
• After pre-inspection, hydrant application will be ready at the District office.

Hydrant Users: Authorized users of District fire hydrants are required to prominently display a red placard issued by the District. Any suspected non-authorized use should be reported to 303-979-2333.
