Four water main replacement projects are scheduled for construction this summer in the Leawood subdivision. These projects are expected to go out to bid in April, with details provided below.
The district intends to continue keeping the community informed about the projects to help minimize disruptions and ensure everyone is prepared for any temporary inconveniences during construction.
Project updates will be provided on the district website, Facebook, and NextDoor as the construction schedule is finalized. The district is committed to completing this work as efficiently as possible to minimize inconvenience to residents. Prior to construction, door hangers will be distributed to all affected residents.
2026 Water Main Replacement Projects
S. Lamar Dr. – This project will replace 1,013 feet of 6″cast iron pipe with 6″ PVC pipe in S. Lamar Dr. from W. Leawood Dr. to S. Marshall Ct.
W. Burgandy Dr. – This project will replace 857 feet of 6″ cast iron pipe with 6″ PVC pipe in the W. Burgandy Dr. loop of W. Brittany Pl.
S. Marshall Dr. – This project will replace 1,931 feet of 8″ cast iron pipe with 8″ PVC pipe in S. Marshall Dr. from W. Leawood Dr. to S. Marshall Ct.
S. Newland St. – This project will replace 347 feet of 6″ cast iron pipe with 6″ PVC pipe in the S. Newland St. cul-de-sac of W. Leawood Dr.
