The board of directors approved the 2026–2035 Capital Master Plan (Plan) on October 24, 2025. The Plan outlines $2.8 million in expenditures for 2026 and $24.9M over the full ten-year period, including four water main replacement projects scheduled for 2026.
The Plan serves as a roadmap for proactively managing the district’s infrastructure by identifying, prioritizing, and scheduling water and wastewater rehabilitation and replacement projects over the next decade.
Between 2027 and 2035, the Plan includes 32 additional water main replacement projects. Portions of the district’s water distribution system are nearing the end of their dependable service life, making ongoing, proactive maintenance and long-range capital planning essential to ensure timely detection, repair, and renewal of district-owned infrastructure.
Projects are prioritized to ensure that the facilities most in need of attention are addressed at the right time. This approach helps reduce operational and repair costs by limiting emergency repairs and unplanned replacements. Most importantly, a strong capital rehabilitation and replacement program helps prevent system deterioration, service disruptions, and potential impacts to safety, health, and property.
