Dr. Damien Mulvany joined the Board of Directors in May 2024. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, he has been a dual citizen since 2008. Dr. Mulvany earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in 1981 and completed a general practice residency at Southern Illinois University. He led the Acacia Dental Group in Englewood as its president from 1982 until his retirement in 2018.
Dr. Mulvany’s career is distinguished by his dedication to community service, both locally and internationally. He volunteered as a mentor at Urban Peak Shelter, and provided critical dental care and mentorship to homeless teens. His contributions included offering orthodontic treatments at no cost to the recipients.
During his dental career, Dr. Mulvany collaborated with International Medical Relief (IMR) and delivered dental care to underserved communities across the globe and was among the first to provide dental services in Djorbival, Senegal. He extended his mission work to additional African villages, including Kersambua, Anole, and Garissa, Kenya.
Throughout his career, Dr. Mulvany has been recognized with numerous awards, including the prestigious 1-800-Dentist Cares Award.
Dr. Mulvany serves as the Community Affairs Director for his HOA. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, gardening, screenwriting, and participating in Colorado’s diverse outdoor activities.
