Last Saturday, October 31, on Halloween night there was a water break at 6962 S. Lamar Court in the Columbine Knolls neighborhood.

The break occurred on old cast iron pipe that was installed nearly 60 years ago in S. Lamar Court (pictured right). This water main failure is the result of electrolysis.

Ten homes were affected by the water outage that lasted from 8 pm until 3 am that next morning. Due to the previous failures, this section of pipe may be included in Capital Improvement Projects within the next few years.
