The service line for Leawood Elementary failed this morning. Platte Canyon is in the process of repairing the school’s service line from the sidewalk to the main. The water outage has been extended to 7 pm this evening. The crews are working diligently to get this repair done and water back on to the affected residents. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Platte Canyon is currently replacing the water main from S. Jay Court to S. Ingalls Street in the Leawood Division. This morning, the water main failed at Leawood Elementary School forcing the operators to shut off water from S. Jay Court to W. Fair Drive. Platte Canyon staff is on the scene and will be notifying residents of the shut off.
Currently, the water outage is expected to last until approximately 4 pm today. Updates will be provided once we know exactly how long the repair will take. Some residents in the area may be experiencing discolored water due to the leak. Leawood Elementary and 26 residents are affected by the water outage. See map above for affected residents.
