Updates on 2019 Water Main Replacement Projects:
Jay Court Project – This project will replace 1058 feet of 8” PVC pipe on South Jay Court between W. Bowles Avenue and W. Leawood Drive. Construction plans and specifications have been developed and the project was bid in late May.
Leawood Drive Project – This project will replace 2674 feet of 8” PVC pipe on West Leawood Drive between S. Pierce Street and S. Ingalls Street. Construction plans and specifications have been developed and the project was bid in late May.
Jay Drive Project – This project will replace 732 feet of 6” PVC pipe on South Jay Drive between W. Elmhurst Avenue and W. Monticello Avenue. Construction plans and specifications have been developed and the project was bid in late May.
Rowland Place Project – This project will replace 1255 feet of 8″ PVC pipe on West Rowland Place between S. Depew Street and S. Sheridan Court. Construction plans and specifications have been developed and the project was bid in late May.
Update on the 2019 Sewer Main Replacement Project:
This project will replace 293 feet of 16” PVC sewer main pipe on Sheridan Avenue at West Fair Street. Construction plans and specifications have been developed and the project was bid in late May.
The district Board of Directors expects to award the construction contract at the June meeting of the board. The first set of projects is expected to be under construction in July with all projects scheduled for completion by early November 2019.
The District is planning to schedule Informational Pop-Up tents for each project and these events will be held in the subdivisions that may be affected by the construction. As soon as the Pop-Up event dates are scheduled, more information will be posted on our website, Facebook page, and Nextdoor.
